B is for Brigid
This month is the A to Z Blog Challenge and I've chosen to cover the topic of deities. I'll post a deity from religions across the world, past and present. Many of these inspire the gods within the books I write. I find the topic fascinating and hope you enjoy each post this month.
B is for Brigid
Daughter of the giant, Dagda
Patron of Smiths
Fed the milk of a sacred cow at infancy, Brigid is one of the greater mother goddesses of Celtic mythology. She is a kind and nurturing goddess with aspects that revolve around fire.

Funny 'B' Fact
My nickname is Bree. Growing up, when I would get in trouble, instead of calling out my entire name...Sabrina Ann, my mom combined my nickname with my middle name instead and would yell out BREANNA. *shudders* To this day, I absolutely hate the name. :)Join me the entire month of April as I ride the crazy train that is the A to Z Blog Challenge.
